Typically the answer is a resounding “YES!” Most insurance carriers don’t require a face-to-face interview anymore. However, this will typically add an extra step of your having to “confirm” your “signature” with additional email/s directly from the carrier being applied to. Usually, carriers expect a response to their email, ie. your “electronic signature,” within 12-24 hours or the application is voided.
Usually, depending on the type of policy being applied for, it can take as little as one week, to as much as six weeks depending on how much underwriting needs to be done.

Absolutely! Wading through all of the various Medicare options available to you each year can be a daunting task. At i7 Insurance, I will take the time to help you understand completely what your benefits are with each of the various plans available to you. Needs change from year to year, AND plans change from year to year, so it’s important that you have an agent who will walk with you every step of the way.
You will not be charged for the paramed, and you are under no obligation to purchase the insurance if you have a paramed done. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes, and the nurse will come to your house or your work–whatever is the most convenient place for you. The paramed will also be scheduled at a convenient time for you. Please note: If the insurance carrier does require that you have a paramed done, this could actually be a “life-saver” for you. One client of i7 Insurance found out he had some significant heart issues because he had the paramed done and was able then to consult a cardiologist before experiencing a life-threatening event. While this meant having to wait on getting life insurance, the trade off for him was certainly worth it, and he can reapply for life insurance after a year.
There are many reasons to consider a Short-term Health Plan, as they are continuing to improve their benefits and coverages. One of the most significant reasons to choose a Short-term Health Plan is that they aren’t so short anymore. Many carriers are offering “3-year Short-term Health Plans” now. In addition, if you are young and only need basic coverage, or in great health, you will probably overpay in the Marketplace compared to a Short-term Health Plan. Other reasons to get a Short-term Health Plan include being outside of the yearly window of opportunity to enroll in a Marketplace Plan, wanting more choices because most Short-term Health Plans let you pick-and-choose the coverages you want/need or you qualify for catastrophic coverage (which is not sold on the Marketplace). If you have further questions about a Short-term Health Plan, contact i7 Insurance and I’ll be glad to point you in the right direction.
